Risk Claims Administrator

Temporary (to perm)

£22,000 - £25,000 DOE

Milton Keynes

We require a well organised individual to support the claims management processes including measuring effectiveness of all claim handlers employed across all insurance programmes. This role is offered initially on a temporary ongoing basis with the view to the successful candidate being offered a permanent position.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Administer claim protocols under all programmes and monitor/direct claims appropriately
  • Produce regular reports for follow up on any claims by management
  • Performing regular Claim Audits to ensure best practice is followed
  • Maintain a watch list of all global claims and liaise with insurer on updates
  • Maintain claims status register
  • Help expedite claim resolution on larger claims and manage businesses' expectation
  • Authorise referrals of injured employee to Insurer rehabilitation programme
  • Review all monthly financial changes with Manager
  • Maintain Uninsured claims register
  • Actively manage all claims recoveries from special funds
  • Work with insurer specialist teams on general updates (including Fraud)
  • Keep updated to legal changes in claims environment
  • Administration support to the wider team

We are looking for someone with:

  • Experience of working in an environment handling claims
  • Good understanding of claims landscape for decision-making and good judgement
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritise work activities and work under own initiative
  • Good Interpersonal skills, resourceful and adaptable
  • Positive approach and resilient in the face of obstacles
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Numerate with ability to understand and interpret data

Desirable

  • Using Risk Management systems such as Risk Connect/Origami risk
  • Relevant claims experience gained via internships and placements would be beneficial
  • Previous experience of working in a service industry.
  • Graduates from any degree discipline or any Insurance industry qualification.
