We have an exciting opportunity to become a key member of the Management Team of a growing organisation, working closely alongside the Directors. This is a very hands on role, as you will be acting as the sole HR function. It is essential that you are CPID qualified to level 5.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for independently executing HR responsibilities throughout the whole employment life cycle
  • Manage the recruitment process in a cost-effective manner from reviewing candidate attraction and sourcing strategies
  • Maintenance of personnel files in line with data protection and GDPR legislation.
  • In conjunction with directors and managers assist in the developing learning and development / succession plans of staff
  • Assist managers to empower their staff and to deal with employee relations, leaver processes, change management issues including absence management, performance related concerns, organisational design etc
  • Review HR policies and processes and implement changes where necessary
  • Promote employee engagement via a range of initiatives including regular employee communications
  • Manage reward strategy, benefits and recognition programmes
  • Maintenance of the Holiday Chart and all HR administration
  • Provide leadership in operational and management meetings raising HR and people management issues
  • Process payroll and produce various reports
  • Responsible for all Health and Safety
  • Any other relevant HR-related duties

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • CIPD qualified to Level 5 minimum (essential)
  • Generalist HR Experience in a standalone role i.e. with the ability to work at transactional, operational and management level
  • Strong employment law knowledge and extensive experience of applying that to dealing with employee relations issues
  • Experience of recruiting for positions at all levels
  • Understanding of change management
  • Ability to quickly build trust, credibility and positive relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills providing effective influence and challenge to managers
  • Proactive with a positive and "can do" attitude and approach with the ability to drive initiatives forward
  • Excellent IT skills, including MS Word and Excel
  • Adherence to confidentiality at all times
  • Confidence to work with minimal supervision
  • Occasional European travel is a necessity, with the potential of international travel
