Finance Support Assistant

12-month FTC

£20,200

We are assisting our client with two vacancies in their Finance Department. The role of Finance Support Assistant will see you undertake billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.

This position is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Customer set up and maintenance on Oracle based system
  • Creating reports, invoices, credits, statements
  • Assist with credit control
  • Answering telephone and email queries
  • Recording and monitoring of payments made to suppliers
  • Recording and monitoring of discrepancies/credits
  • The payment of supplier invoices
  • Dealing with requests and queries from internal departments
  • Accurate allocation of payments received including bacs, transfers, cheque and credit card payments
  • Developing effective relationships with colleagues, customers and supplier

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience of working within a transactional environment
  • Familiarity with Oracle or similar management information system
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • IT literate - familiarity with database systems and use of Excel to construct spreadsheets for reporting purposes
  • Able to demonstrate the ability to form good customer/supplier relationships
  • Good attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Demonstrate the ability to organise and prioritise work to achieve deadlines.
  • Demonstrate numerical and analytical skills.
