Data Entry Clerk

8.00am - 5.30pm, with one half day early finish on Friday each month

£19,000 per annum

Join a fun and hardworking team within a company with a fast paced and busy environment! Our client is looking for a Data Entry Clerk to type information into the database from paper documents. The ideal candidate will be computer savvy and a fast typist with a keen eye for detail.

About the role:

  • Transfer data from paper formats into computer files or database systems using SAP
  • Type in data provided directly from customers
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents
  • Updating of existing data
  • Retrieve data from the database or electronic files as requested
  • Sort and organize paperwork after entering data to ensure it is not lost
  • Do timely print of data to ensure orders leave on time

About you:

  • Proven experience in data entry and have an analytical side
  • Fast typing skills
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Working knowledge of office equipment and computer hardware and peripheral devices
  • Basic understanding of databases
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
