Customer Service Advisor

Full time/ Permanent

£17,000 basic salary - £19,000 OTE (including bonus scheme)

Kettering

We are delighted to be supporting our client in the recruitment of a Customer Service Advisor to work within their busy team. By nature, you will be empathetic with a clear and friendly telephone manner. You will be well organised and able to pick up systems and processes quickly.

To be our Customer Service Advisor you will need to be able to work rotational shifts on a weekly rotation, including some weekends.

Key responsibilities of the Customer Service Advisor include:

  • Providing telephone support to incoming calls
  • Listening and assessing each call on a case by case basis, offering informed advice
  • Accurately recording and updating caller information in the system
  • Draft accurate correspondence in line with captured data
  • Keeping up-to-date with services in order to accurately advise clients
  • Perform research and checks on particular conflicts that may affect the case
  • Manage engagement with customers by effective follow up, recording information accurately
  • Be attentive to identify serious and complex issues

Our Customer Service Advisor needs to have:

  • A good level of education including GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English language
  • Experience within a regulated or financial environment would be an advantage
  • Display excellent customer service skills, empathy and patience
  • Naturally curious and able to make decisions confidently
  • An understanding and appreciation of working within strict regulations
  • Accurately recording and updating customer information
  • Keeping up-to-date with all products and services in order give accurate advice
  • Enthusiast, flexible and adaptable
