Credit Controller

6 month FTC

£23,000 pro-rata

Newport Pagnell

We are looking for an experienced, confident Credit Controller to join a dynamic organisation within their small friendly team in Newport Pagnell. Although this is a 6-month contract, it comes with a view to an extension or possibly a permanent role.

Key responsibilities of the Credit Controller:

  • Taking a proactive role in managing and collecting debts of company debtors
  • Ensuring timely payment of debts through Query resolution
  • Following up payments as needed
  • Negotiating re-payment plans where required
  • Responding to relevant client enquiries
  • Developing and maintaining good customer relationships
  • Escalating overdue accounts in the event of non-payment following company process
  • Processing ad-hoc payments made by debit card
  • Reporting on a regular and ad-hoc basis
  • Working alongside finance team to manage cash receipts

The Credit Controller needs to have:

  • At least 2 years' experience in credit control
  • Experience of working with public sector clients is desirable
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and accountancy software
  • Experienced working in a small team and managing workload priorities
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong excel skills including ability to troubleshoot common problems
  • Strong focus on accuracy and delivery within stipulated requirements
  • Process driven and high attention to detail
