Accounts Assistant

Corby

£20,000 - £24,000 pro rata DOE

Full time

Monday - Friday (9am - 5:30pm)

We have an opportunity to join an established business in Corby. This rare, full time opportunity is perfect for a candidate that has a few years' experience and would like to gain more experience within Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and general accounts. This person must be able to work with minimal supervision.

You will be working in the finance department, completing the day to day transaction work required in this busy department, to ensure accurate and timely information can be generated to assist with planning and decision making.

Key responsibilities of the Accounts Assistant will include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain and update the sales ledger matching system for the Company.
  • Reporting and Analysing Financial Information.
  • Investigating sales report variances.
  • Assist with month end processes.
  • Maintain and update the purchase and sales ledger for the Company and/or any associated companies as required.
  • Complete bank reconciliations as required.
  • Maintain the integrity of the Accounting system and matching system.
  • Project work and ad-hoc duties as required.
  • Follow all processes within the department

The Accounts Assistant needs to have:

  • Ideally working towards or hold an AAT qualification
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Complete work with accuracy and consistency
  • Ability to work under pressure and to set deadlines
  • Excellent numerical skills
  • Must be IT literate and proficient with all Microsoft Office packages
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Ensure all work is processed within a confidential nature.

The role of Finance Support Assistant will see you undertake billing, accounts receivable and accounts payable.
