Production Supervisor
Milton Keynes
Full time, Permanent
7:30am – 4:15pm Monday to Friday
£32,500 – £34,000 per annum (Depending on experience)
Our client is a well-established and respected manufacturing business known for producing high-quality materials for the electronics and advanced technology sectors. They are currently seeking a proactive and hands-on Production Supervisor to support daily manufacturing operations and lead a team within a busy production environment.
You will work closely with the Plant Manager, overseeing day-to-day activities across production processes including manufacturing, filling, labelling, and packaging. You will ensure all work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule, while supporting continuous improvement across the department.
Key responsibilities as a Production Supervisor will include but are not limited to:
- Supporting the planning and scheduling of production activities.
- Ensuring timely completion of customer orders to required quality standards.
- Coordinating resources, workflow and daily tasks for Production Operators.
- Maintaining and updating SOPs and production documentation.
- Overseeing adherence to industry and customer quality requirements.
- Participating in audits, CAPAs, and process reviews.
- Conducting risk assessments, safety inspections and incident reporting.
- Promoting a strong and proactive health & safety culture.
- Monitoring production performance and reporting KPIs.
- Maintaining accurate operational data and production records.
- Identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles.
- Using production/ERP systems to record work orders, inventory and scrap data.
- Reviewing staff time records and raising purchase requisitions as needed.
- Supervising, training and developing Production Operators.
- Supporting recruitment, performance management and team engagement activities.
To be considered as a Production Supervisor, you must have:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment (automotive, chemical, food, or similar).
- Previous supervisory or team-leader experience.
- Strong working knowledge of production processes, workflow management and resource allocation.
- Good understanding of quality systems and continuous improvement tools.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience using production planning or ERP systems.
- Strong IT skills and confident using Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and organisational ability.
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach to work.
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams.
