Are you a motivated and experienced Pensions Team Leader looking for a new challenge? Do you enjoy leading a team to perform to a high standard of work and in line with legislation requirements? Are you resilient and able to perform well under pressure?

Our Bedford based client is keen to find a passionate, ‘people person’ to lead and develop a team of 8 Pensions Administrators. In return, they offer a culture of innovation, diversity and inclusion along with some great personal and professional development opportunities.

As a Pensions Team Leader your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Leading a team of Administrators and Advisors to manage all aspects of the day-to-day administration of the Company's DC/DB pension schemes.
  • Overseeing the checking, calculation, and payment of death benefits, including processing non-standard cases and peer reviews.
  • Managing, reviewing, and amending standard operating procedures in line with pension legislation and business requirements.
  • Providing support and root cause analysis.
  • Coaching and training all team members and supporting them in implementing personal development plans.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Taking responsibility for the accuracy and quality of your individual work as well as the teams’.
  • Achieving set targets in line with service level agreements.

To be a successful Pensions Team Leader you must have:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience of leading a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate across all levels.
  • Proven knowledge of DC/DB pension arrangements.
  • Awareness of service standards and statutory disclosure requirements.
  • Quality focused with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Project Management skills.
  • A high level of IT literacy and numerate.
  • A passion for delivering strong leadership to direct reports.
