A  fantastic opportunity to join a professional blue chip organisation The Service Delivery Manager is accountable for the day-to-day operation of all information systems and technology infrastructure, ensuring that these: Are reliable and robust in operation Businesses critical operating systems are not adversely impacted, if not monitored correctly could result in systems failure with a cost impact of up £500,000 each day the system is down. Are managed appropriately to meet agreed standards of service Provide a high level of customer satisfaction In addition the role will take prime responsibility for one or more ITIL disciplines Key outputs Determines service level requirements and negotiates and agrees service levels. Ensures that service delivery meets agreed service levels. Diagnoses service delivery problems to identify actions required to maintain or improve levels of service. Initiates or refers required actions. Ensures that appropriate action is taken to investigate and resolve incidents and problems in systems and services. Ensures that incidents and problems are fully documented within the relevant reporting systems Owns the service continuity planning process and leads the implementation of resulting plans. Coordinates the planning, designing, testing of maintenance procedures and contingency plans to address exposure to risk and ensure that agreed levels of continuity are maintained. Provides advice, assistance and leadership associated with the planning, design and improvement of service and component availability, including the investigation of all breaches of availability targets and service non-availability, with the instigation of remedial activities. Is responsible for the liaison between the organisation and designated suppliers. Ensures that supplier performance is properly monitored and regularly reviewed. Drafts and maintains procedures and documentation for applications support. Manages application enhancements to improve business performance. Ensures that all requests for support are dealt with according to set standards and procedures. Ensure all projects are assessed for the impact on existing Service Models and any changes are documented and implemented Takes responsibility for the installation, upgrading, control and maintenance of local and wide area networks for the communication of voice and data. Manages the network to agreed levels of service and data integrity. Ensures that network performance and traffic is monitored and reviewed. Ensures that network problems are resolved. Manages Configuration Items and related information. Applies and maintains tools, techniques and processes for managing Configuration Items and ensuring that related information is complete, current and accurate. Ensures that the policy and standards for capacity management are fit for purpose, current and are correctly implemented. Reviews new business proposals and provides specialist advice on capacity issues. You will responsible for Significant savings against expenditure  and this will be realised if Service Levels are managed appropriately.  Key Skills: Educated to degree level in numerate discipline Formal ITIL qualification in Service Management (ideally at expert level) Demonstrable experience of working in an IT Service management capacity. Strong relationship management skills Strong analytical and negotiation skills Sound IT knowledge and experience Experience of managing numerous internal and external stakeholders  You will need to be immediately available as this position is an ongoing contract, please only apply if this is the case.
