Senior Finance Assistant We are looking for a senior finance assistant to assist with the management of our clients’ client accounts, offshore accounting and the management of our clients’ bank accounts. The role is working within the accounts receivable team in the Milton Keynes office but within a larger finance function that operates across more than 20 other locations including Europe and Offshore. Key responsibilities include: Processing payments and receipts associated with the client accounts. Monthly bank reconciliations of all client accounts Annual returns on client account interest received. Opening and closing of accounts and updating bank mandates as appropriate. Maintenance and administration of offshore pension and rental payments. Monthly reconciliation of payments for offshore pensions and rental leases. General administration, filing and scanning duties. General ad hoc tasks including manual bank statement uploads and holiday cover for posting of commission receipts. Key skills & experience: Previous experience of working within a regulated environment preferred either in a bank or solicitor – Legal Accounts Assistant, Legal Cashier or Client Accountant. Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels across the firm in a diplomatic but assertive manner. Appropriate familiarity FSA rules on client monies and commission. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills. Keen attention to detail. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Excellent numerical/analytical skills. An enthusiastic and dedicated team player. Must be able to work unsupervised, multi task and display initiative. Ability to work under pressure at peak times and meet deadlines. A minimum of 6 GCSE passes or equivalent qualifications with Maths and English as essential subjects. Excel experience essential; Word, SAP & Outlook experience preferred | ||
