What Qualifies as a Referral?

It’s simple; you qualify as a referrer when you either refer a company to work with us (who would typically ask us to supply a temporary or permanent member of staff), or when you refer a candidate to one of our live positions.

To qualify as referral the company you introduce us to must not have traded with Ascendant Recruitment in the last 18 months.  For a candidate to qualify as a successful referral the candidate must not already be registered with Ascendant Recruitment.

The great thing is that it’s really easy to do, anyone can make a referral and you can genuinely earn fantastic rewards!

So what’s in it for me?

There are two things and you can put them in whichever order you like!  You can earn a lot of money, and you can help your friend or family member find a new great job or a company find a great person!

How do I refer a company or a person?

To refer a company all you need to do is to ask the company representative (of the company you are referring, possibly your friend, colleague, neighbour, client or even supplier) to call us and place a temporary or permanent role with us.  Simply ask this person to call us on 01908 200270 and make sure that they tell us that you’ve made the referral, so that you get paid!

To refer a candidate all you need to do is call us on 01908 200270 and tell us the person’s telephone number and the role you are referring them to.  It’s obviously important that you check with the person that they are happy for you to refer them before your pass their details to us.

How much money do I earn?

Money you /your company will earn when you introduce a company to us and they give us a permanent job

This is a breakdown of how much money you will earn/your company will earn when you have referred a company to work with us on a permanent job and we successfully place a candidate who completes our guarantee period.

*As our fee structure varies on each job we reserve the right to limit the fee payable to you to no more than 25% of our total invoice.

Money you will earn when you/your company introduce a company to us and they give us a temporary job

We will pay you/your company £10 per week for every full week the temporary works in the temporary job.

Money you/your company will earn when you introduce a candidate to us and they fill the permanent job you have recommended them for

This is a breakdown of how much money you/your company will earn when you have referred a candidate to one of our permanent roles and we successfully place the candidate in that role and they complete our guarantee period.

How do I/we get paid?

If you are a client and cannot receive money personally we will credit your client account with the reward (so when you recruit it will be a lot cheaper) or we’ll take it off an outstanding invoice(s).  This excites us, and we hope it excites you too! Quite simply you can minimise or completely neutralise your recruitment costs by leveraging your social and business network of contacts.  Lead them to Ascendant Recruitment, you’ll earn the rewards and we’ll do the rest!!!

If you are an individual (as opposed to a company) your reward will be paid by bacs transfer straight into your bank account.

Money you will earn for temporary bookings will be paid 4 weekly as opposed to each week.

Important

Ascendant Recruitment supports two charities The NSPCC (https://www.nspcc.org.uk) and Keech Cottage (http://www.keech.org.uk).

If you’d prefer us to send your reward to either of our designated charities we will do so with pleasure (you’ll receive full verification that your reward has been sent) or you may wish to use your reward to support a charity of your own choice?  If so please let us know and we’ll gladly send your reward to your chosen charity – again we’ll provide you with full verification that your reward has been sent.

When do I receive my reward?

Your reward will become payable:

1. as soon as we have successfully placed a candidate in the permanent job you (via the company you referred to us) have referred to us, or placed your candidate in the role you recommended them for (when you have referred a candidate) or a temporary has completed a full week in a temporary booking (when you either referred a client who gave us a temporary booking or a candidate who completed the booking)
2. as soon as we have been paid by our client
3. as soon as the guarantee period offered to the client (applicable only to permanent roles) by Ascendant Recruitment has expired.  We have to wait, as before this date we are liable to refund our fee if the candidate isn’t successful, and we never want to ask you for money back!

FAQ’s

1. Q: If I introduce the client (who gives Ascendant Recruitment a job) and the candidate who successfully fills the job, do I get paid twice?
   A: Yes definitely!
2. Q: How well do I need to know the company or person I am referring?
   A: Not very well.  Simply ask the company or candidate to call us (or give us their contact details) and we’ll do the rest.
3. Q: Does my identity remain confidential
   A: Yes definitely!
4. Q: Should I feel guilty about making money off a friend?
   A: No.  They end up with a great job and you end up with a lovely financial reward!
5. Q: But what if I feel really guilty?
   A: If it’s really worrying you, why not split your fee with them and explain how they too can refer candidates and companies to Ascendant Recruitment in return for large rewards?  Or as shown above donate your reward to Charity.
6. Q: How do I check when my payment is due?
   A: When you have recommended a candidate we suggest you stay in contact with the candidate directly so that you know exactly when they started.  If you have referred a company to us, you can always ask the company if we have filled the role, but rest assured we will pay (in line with the conditions above) as soon as your fee is payable.  We want you to earn lots and lots of rewards and tell everyone about it!
7. Q: Do I have to pay my own tax on this?
   A:  Yes – any tax due as a result of receiving a reward will be your responsibility to pay and your receipt of a reward will be taken as your acceptance that you, and not Ascendant Recruitment is liable for any tax payable.

Tips to earn the most money!

1. Log on to our vacancies every week www.ascendantrecruitment.co.uk and just recommend anyone in your little black book of contacts for any of our roles
2. Think about the companies you know, (it may be the company you work for, but it could just as easily be the company your friend works for, or your Dad works for) and ask yourself or your friend/dad who are their suppliers (companies that supply them with goods or services) and who are their clients (companies who they supply goods and services to).  Most companies use agencies – just find companies who work with agencies and tell us, we’ll do the rest and all you need to do is wait for your reward to drop into your bank account!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
